Spring Session POR BULERIAS
Bulerías is a festive, fun, rhythmic style that comes from the Soleá family. It is spontaneous, humorous, quick paced, and a huge part of flamenco culture. It is also a great style through which to practice dancing to the cante (Flamenco singing). In each class, we will learn traditional steps in this style and learn to dance them to different verses, allowing us to practice adapting to the whims of the cante.

Saturdays, May 11 - June 29* (7 weeks) | No classes June 8th
*June 29th’s class will be a Flamenco Club celebration from 10:15-12:30, bringing together all levels to dance what we’ve learned and to share tea and treats.

CLASSES
Intermediate-Advanced: 10:15 - 11:15 am | Limited to 10 students
Beginner-Intermediate: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm | Limited to 10 students
Which level to take? The difference between levels in this series will be more about pace. The beginner-intermediate level will move more slowly. I recommend this class for those new or newish to flamenco or who would like more time to break down and repeat movements, rhythms and verses. The intermediate-advanced class will move more quickly and focus more on applying the movements to the cante.
